| Final Fantasy I
This is for posting fanfics surrounding in the world of the original. Not much really to play on though, is there?

| Final Fantasy II
This is for posting fanfics surrounding in the world of the second world where Firion, Maria, Gus, and Leon resided. Though this had more of a story, it stilled lacked.

For the recently released DS game, not the one transferred originally from Japan and called VI later.

| Final Fantasy IV
For the fourth installment of the series, this game had a good story, and the 2nd largest cast of playable characters. Truly a medieval type game.

| Final Fantasy V
For the fifth installment, I think this game was a downward slope from the fourth. Still an interesting story, but the main character's name was Butz by default.

| Final Fantasy VI
This was later labeled as Final Fantasy III in America, and has one of the best storylines of the series. Also consists of the largest gaming cast.

| Final Fantasy VII
Has the most spin-off games of the series, and rumored as the greatest amongst them all. Has a great story with a strong list of individual characters, but a more modern world.
This is for stories concerning Dirge of Cerberus, Advent Children, Crisis Core, etc.

| Final Fantasy VIII
With a more modern/sci-fi feel, this game had the first real, beautiful full-motion videos. A very strong storyline with wonderful characters and beautiful music - a truly rememorable game and characters.

| Final Fantasy IX
Final Fantasy IX was the last Playstation game, and the creator's personal favorite. It intentionally was a combined remake of the previous FF games, and returned to the classic, medieval feel.

| Final Fantasy X
Quite possibly the longest, and best game in the series, FFX was the first for the PS2, and to introduce voices. Very beautiful world, with a great storyline concept.
This is for X-2 as well.

As far as I can tell, this game didn't have much of a storyline, but if you have an idea - run with it and the best luck to you.

For the most recent installment of the direct series, this game has gained a lot of attention. Its races and world is based around Ivalice - taken from FFT.
