A PIRATE FOOL'S GOLD
This is a Final Fantasy XII and X cross-over fanfic - centering around the concept of Ivalice and Spira being two parallel nations refusing to coincide to different views on technology.
The story centers around Balthier - acting as our "Leading Man", but goes on to dive into the struggles and lives of other characters - even a few from other Final Fantasy games.
Every Sky Pirate's dream is to find the Paradise of Lights - the city Zanarkand where the sun never shines, and Machina reign supreme. As a Sky Pirate, Balthier drags his partner - the Viera Fran - along with him on his journies across the world. Through his own ill-thoughted out actions, Balthier meets up with several interesting characters who later come to depend on the captain and his transporation as chaos begins washes over the world in waves.
